Recently refurbished, the comfortable bar seating area has a long well-stocked bar, informal dining (dog friendly) and a relaxing, homely atmosphere with amazing views over the river. There are always a good selection of guest ales available, a regularly updated wine list, extensive menu & array of tasty snacks, and we often host live music and other fun events too.

Dine at The Galleon Inn

All of our dishes are cooked using the best ingredients, locally sourced when possible. Our local suppliers are chosen to provide us with superb produce all year round, and a lot of our fish is landed, prepared and served within a matter of hours.

Our experienced kitchen team cooks everything to order and has developed a broad menu which is supplemented with a selection of daily specials. Our menus range from light bites, jacket potatoes & sandwiches for a quick lunch to our traditional fish & chips, beef chilli or seafood combo. We also offer a range of children's portions and some vegan options to cater for as many appetites as we can. We can also cater for those on a Gluten Free diet, with some of our menu being gluten free by design & other meals being able to be adapted to suit.

    Great rooms, spacious, really clean and comfortable. Price included a lovely breakfast and the staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough. The service was really quick.

    The Galleon outperformed all expectations. Modern bedrooms, immaculately clean, well designed and with all you needed. Bed was really comfortable too. It was a lovely breakfast with local produce. And a good price too.
